Murdoch Baby Matters is a private Neonatal and Paediatric specialist practice based at SJOG Murdoch Clinic. Our core business is family centred care to babies, young children and their families.
We provide a 24/7 rostered service to the SJOG Murdoch hospital maternity unit and work closely with the Obstetricians. We attend caesarean sections, as well as emergency and complicated deliveries. Babies who require resuscitation or ongoing specialist care are managed by our team of highly qualified and experienced consultants.
We perform routine baby checks and discuss any parental issues and concerns whilst a baby is in hospital. After discharge, we routinely follow these babies for their 6 to 8-week checks, but do earlier reviews if there is any concern.
Our service is not limited to the Murdoch area or babies who deliver at St John of God Murdoch. We invite GP referrals and encourage visiting midwives and Child Health Nurses to contact us for advice.
Two of our specialists accept General Paediatric referrals of toddlers and young children older than 12 months. One of our Neonatologists is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
